As of today I have been in Uruguay for almost two months and I am getting a lot more adjusted to my life in Uruguay. Last weekend I had a three day weekend because Monday was a national holiday so I took advantage of my free time and glorious weather by doing all my laundry that had accumulated over the past few weeks. Doing your laundry is dictated by the weather because there is no dryer and since it had been rainy and damp the past few weeks, I hadn't had a chance to wash my clothes. So on Saturday I washed all my clothes and hung them up on the line, which is my favorite part because our clothesline is on the roof. Check out the view from the clothesline.

After hanging my clothes up I decided to go on a walk. I did not have a specific destination, I just knew I wanted to be outside on such a beautiful day. I started walking towards downtown and although I had a street guide, I did not use it. I eventually ended up walking along the Rambla and was able to catch a bus back to the hogar. I left at about 2:00 in the afternoon and got back at around 7:00 so it was definitely a long day.
In other news, the German volunteer that also lives in the hogar and works at La Obra took a lot of pictures around the neighborhood and is probably a better photographer than me so I thought I'd include some pictures so you can all see!!!
Also a huge thank you to my aunt and uncle for sending me a Halloween card!!! I got it on Friday and it made my day!!!
