Waiting is the perfect word to describe my summer at this point. I still don't know where I will be for the next year or what I will be doing. The fact that I cannot explain to people these things makes me a little uncomfortable when talking about my plans for the next year. However, I was in a very similar situation last year while I spent the summer counting down the days until I left for the Dominican Republic. Anyway, since my last post, a lot of things have happened, I graduated, went to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for a camping trip with my sister and started working at the Mining Museum again. In many ways it seems a little strange to be doing the same thing for the fifth summer in a row but in many ways it is reassuring because the next year will be full of changes, some of which will certainly be challenges for me.
Also, something random. Yesterday when I was driving in Madison I found a Dominican restaurant next to the Beltline called Punta Cana. It was fantastic and I was able to get my fix of rice and beans. I really recommend it to anyone curious to see what Dominican food is all about.
